Wesley Vissers Bio
Champion Bodybuilder’s Height, Weight, Age, & More
At 6’2″, Wesley Vissers is significantly taller than most professional bodybuilders. And this Dutch IFBB Pro is one of the largest bodybuilders in the Classic Physique division.
In this article, we’ll explore his background, body size, and what makes him a champion.

Who Is Wesley Vissers?
Wesley Vissers is a renowned professional bodybuilder born in the Netherlands on May 6, 1993. His popularity has surged since winning the Classic Physique title at the 2024 Arnold Classic held in Ohio.
Vissers started weightlifting at 14 and participated in his first bodybuilding contest at 20. As an amateur, he won six out of nine contests in Europe before traveling to the United States to compete in his first IFBB pro contest.
In 2018, Vissers debuted at the Mr. Olympia contest and secured 16th place. Since then, he has consistently improved his ranking every year while participating in other professional contests.
In addition to his bodybuilding career, Wesley Vissers co-owns Vintage Genetics with his family. The brand sells bodybuilding apparel, supplements, and online coaching services.
Wesley also owns 100% FitGym in Best, Netherlands, where he trains with his girlfriend, Marly Nooijen.

Wesley Vissers Height and Weight
Wesley Vissers is 6’2″ tall, which is even taller than Chris Bumstead (6’1″), the 6x Mr. Olympia champ. In fact, Vissers’ height resembles that of Arnold Schwarzenegger (6’2″) in his prime.
For comparison, my study of the average bodybuilder’s height revealed that most Mr. Olympia champions are around 5’8″ tall. So Vissers stands a full 6 inches taller than the average pro bodybuilder.
With such a large frame, Wesley bulks up to a staggering 285 pounds in the offseason while packing on muscle. Then, he cuts down to 247 pounds at his leanest and lightest weight for bodybuilding competitions.

Wesley Vissers’ height compared to Breon Ansley, Ramon Rocha Queiroz, and Urs Kaleinski at the 2024 Arnold Classic.

Wesley Vissers Physique
Wesley Vissers owes his bodybuilding success to his impressive size, which he has achieved by gradually adding more lean muscle each year. However, various other factors set him apart from the best bodybuilders in the world.
Vissers is known for his Golden Era style, which resembles the bodybuilders of the 1960s and 70s. He strives to maintain an aesthetic combination of muscle size and proportion, which was the sole purpose of creating the Classic Physique category in 2016. In my opinion, Vissers perfectly embodies this aesthetic.
Additionally, Vissers possesses all the ideal genetic traits that cannot be trained for, such as a high-arching rib cage. His biceps, quads, and chest have long muscle insertions that increase their potential volume, while his wide clavicles and narrow pelvis contribute to his impressive V-taper.
Furthermore, Vissers demonstrates an elite level of muscle definition and muscle separation, even among pro bodybuilders. However, I believe he could reach even better conditioning on stage by dialing in water intake, carb loading, and stress mitigation.

Wesley Vissers Nutrition Plan
Wesley Vissers studied Nutrition & Dietetics at HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, Netherlands. As a result, his bodybuilding diet is built around a solid foundation of high-protein foods, plenty of vegetables, and some healthy fats.
Recently, Vissers shared a video on his YouTube channel showing every meal he eats during the offseason.
As a nutrition coach, my first observation is that Vissers eats about 3 pounds of meat daily—an enormous amount! As a result, he gets about 1.4 grams of protein per pound of body weight, which is on the high end even for bodybuilders.
Given that this example was his rest day, Vissers’ carb intake only accounts for about 33% of his calories. He mentions that his workout days provide significantly higher carbs to fuel his training.
What I love about Vissers’ diet is that he eats a lot of fruits and vegetables, which are great for overall health and longevity. However, I would like to see less frozen and pre-packaged meats.
The video above is quite long, so I’ve compiled Wesley’s meals in the table below to make it easier to see the quantities and macros. My numbers may not be exact because he didn’t provide exact amounts for every ingredient, but they are close.
